Antique Scroll Multi Jhumkas
The most ornamental top in this range. A ring of ruby-red petals surrounds a raised antique-gold scroll with a green teardrop at its heart; below it a white-stone wing bar spreads sideways with a ruby pear-cut hanging at the centre. From that bar fall five jhumka domes — four smaller ones across the top, one larger in the middle — each paved with white stones and ending in cream pearls and mint green bead drops.
What makes this pair work
- Antique finish, not bright gold. The raised scroll work is deliberately matt and shadowed, which gives the design the depth of older temple jewellery rather than the flat shine of new.
- A wing bar to carry the width. The horizontal white-stone bar spreads the five domes out instead of bunching them, so each one has room to swing.
- One large bell among four small. The scale difference is what stops a row of identical domes from looking mechanical.
- Three textures in one earring — matt scroll, bright stone paving, and soft bead fringe. That contrast is what makes the pair photograph well.
How to style it
- Antique gold wants antique gold. If you own a matt-finish temple haram, kante or vaddanam, this pair belongs with it — the finishes speak to each other.
- Against bright polished gold jewellery the difference will show, so wear these alone rather than mixing finishes at the neck.
- Deep silks suit best — maroon, bottle green, mustard, brick red, aubergine. The antique finish can disappear against very pale fabrics.
- Hair up, neck bare. With five domes and a wing bar, a necklace is genuinely unnecessary.
- Ideal for a wedding, reception or Diwali evening. For a quiet pooja this is more than the occasion needs.

This is premium imitation (fashion) jewellery. The red, green and white stones are decorative stones — they are not rubies, emeralds or diamonds, and are not sold as such. The pearls are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls. This is a standard finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece.
Caring for it
- Put jewellery on last — after makeup, perfume and hairspray have fully dried — and take it off before bathing, exercise, swimming or sleeping.
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear. Use a soft dry brush in the recessed scroll work, where dust shows most on an antique finish.
- Do not polish or rub an antique finish hard — the shadowing in the recesses is part of the design and can be worn away.
- Keep away from perfume, deodorant, creams, water, hot water, detergent, household chemicals and prolonged sweat. Do not wash or soak.
- Store flat in an airtight box, away from chains and other drop earrings.
Frequently asked questions
What is antique-finish jewellery?
An antique or matt finish is a deliberately darkened, non-reflective surface with the recesses left shadowed, imitating the look of old temple gold. It suits heavily carved designs, because the shadows reveal the detail that a bright polish would flatten.
Can I mix antique and bright gold jewellery?
Generally not in the same look at the same level — the two finishes tend to make each other look wrong. Either keep the whole set antique, or wear an antique statement piece on its own.
What is a multi-jhumka earring?
A multi-jhumka carries several small bell-shaped domes from one bar or arch. The layered movement is the point: the bells swing against each other and catch light continuously.
Are these suitable for Diwali, Dussehra and Navratri?
Yes — particularly the larger evenings. A Diwali party, a wedding-season reception or a formal Dussehra function. The scale is more than a quiet house pooja calls for.
Are the red and green stones real rubies and emeralds?
No. They are decorative stones in the kemp tradition and are not sold as rubies or emeralds. The white stones are not diamonds.
Are the pearls real?
No. They are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls.
Is this jewellery anti-tarnish?
No. This is a standard antique gold-tone finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece. Wiping it dry after each wear and keeping it away from perfume and sweat is what extends the finish.
