American Diamond Jhumka Earrings with Ruby-Pink Stones and Pearl Drops

The pair you buy without thinking twice about it. A small trefoil stud top set with a pear-shaped ruby-pink stone, a neat domed jhumka scattered with marquise ruby-pink stones, and a close fringe of pearl drops — all worked in American diamonds (cubic zirconia) on a silver-white finish. It has the shape and the sparkle of a far more expensive earring at a price that makes it easy to own in more than one colour.

What the design does

  • Classic jhumka proportions, scaled down. A rounded dome, a short pearl fringe and a small decorative top — the traditional silhouette, sized so it sits close to the ear and stays comfortable all day.
  • Ruby-pink placed for movement. Pointed marquise stones are set at intervals around the dome rather than in one solid band, so the colour appears and disappears as the earring turns.
  • A trefoil top. The three-lobed openwork stud is a small piece of design in itself, with the ruby-pink stone set at its centre — which is what stops the earring reading as a plain drop.
  • Push-back closure. Simple to put on and take off, and secure through a long day.
  • Silver-white, not gold. Modern rather than ceremonial, and it will not fight with gold zari on a silk saree.

What to wear these with

At this scale and this price, these are the jhumkas that end up in constant rotation. They work with cotton, Chanderi, Tussar, georgette and everyday silk, for office ethnic days, temple visits, family lunches, small pujas and functions where you are a guest rather than the reason for the gathering.

Ruby-pink is the most forgiving accent colour in Indian jewellery: it sits tonally with red, maroon, wine, magenta and rani-pink, and gives a clean contrast against ivory, grey, navy, black and pastels. They also carry over to a kurta or an Indo-western outfit without looking overdressed.

A note on buying more than one pair

Small jhumkas are the one category of jewellery worth owning in multiples. A single statement pair has to earn its keep at big occasions; a pair like this simply gets worn. At this price, many customers take two or three colours together — and they are a genuinely good answer for wedding return gifts, where you need something that looks considered without a per-piece cost that runs away from you.

Please note

American diamond is the trade name for cubic zirconia — a clear, brilliant stone used widely in fashion jewellery. These are not diamonds, the coloured stones are not rubies, and this is premium imitation jewellery. We say so plainly because we would rather you buy with a clear picture than be disappointed on delivery.

Caring for them

  • Put jewellery on last — after makeup, perfume and hairspray have fully dried — and take it off first, before bathing, exercise, swimming or sleeping.
  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear. Use a soft dry brush for the close-set stone work, where a cloth cannot reach.
  • Keep away from perfume, deodorant, creams, water, hot water, detergent, household chemicals and prolonged sweat. Do not wash or soak them.
  • Store the pair in an airtight box, laid flat and separately from other jewellery, so the pearl fringe does not catch or tangle.
  • Finish life varies with how often you wear them, your climate and how you store them. We do not promise permanent shine — we give you the steps that genuinely extend it.

Frequently asked questions

What are good return gifts for a wedding or function?
Small jhumkas are one of the safest choices. They suit every age, need no sizing, and read as a considered gift rather than a token. American diamond jhumkas in particular photograph well and feel far more expensive than they cost, which is what you want when you are buying in numbers.

Are there good jhumkas under Rs. 1,000?
Yes — this pair sits well under it. What you give up at this price is scale and weight, not finish: the stone setting, the pearl fringe and the silver-white tone are the same as on our larger pairs. You are buying a smaller earring, not a lesser one.

What is American diamond?
American diamond is the trade name used across India for cubic zirconia — a clear, hard, brilliant stone that is cut and faceted like a diamond and catches light in the same way. It is not a diamond and is not sold as one. It is the standard stone in quality fashion jewellery, which is why an American diamond set costs a fraction of a real one while photographing almost identically.

Are these real diamonds or real rubies?
No. The clear stones are American diamonds, which is cubic zirconia. The coloured stones are ruby-pink in tone, not rubies. This is premium imitation jewellery, and we state that clearly rather than leaving you to guess.

Is this real silver?
No. This is premium imitation (fashion) jewellery in a silver-white tone.

Are these suitable for daily or office wear?
Yes. This is the scale that makes jhumkas practical rather than occasional — a small dome and a short fringe that sits close to the ear, so it works at a desk and through a full day.

What type of closure do these earrings have?
Push-back. The post goes through the ear and a small back pushes on to hold it — simple to put on and take off, and secure enough for all-day wear.

Can I wear these with a kurta or western clothes?
Yes. At this size the silver-white and ruby-pink combination reads as a neat drop earring rather than as occasion jewellery, so it carries over to a kurta with trousers or a plain dress.

What is a jhumka?
A jhumka is a bell or dome-shaped earring, one of the most recognisable forms in Indian jewellery. This is a small jhumka — the same traditional silhouette in an everyday scale.

Will the pearl drops come loose?
The fringe is the most delicate part of any jhumka. Store the pair laid flat in an airtight box rather than dropped into a pouch with other pieces, and avoid pulling them through a saree pallu or dupatta when dressing.

Do these come with a matching necklace?
This listing is for the pair of earrings on its own. Message us on WhatsApp if you would like a coordinated necklace suggestion for your saree.
