Double Crescent Ruby Dome Jhumkas
These are long, two-part jhumka earrings that combine a chandbali-style top with a grand jhumka below. A ruby-red pear stone in a white stone frame sits at the lobe. Two stacked crescents of white stones follow, dotted with pearl beads and edged with a row of pear-cut white stone drops. Below hangs a large openwork dome scattered with ruby-red, green and white stones, finished with a band of white stones, a pearl fringe and a second, smaller dome with its own pearl drops.
What makes this pair special
- Chandbali meets jhumka. The double crescent top gives you the shape of a chandbali; the dome below gives you the swing of a jhumka. One pair, two classic forms.
- An openwork floral dome. The dome is worked in an open leaf-and-flower pattern set with ruby, green and white stones, so it looks rich but not solid.
- A double tier at the base. A smaller dome hangs inside the main jhumka, adding a second fringe of pearls and extra length.
- Pear-cut white stone drops. The row of drops beneath the crescents catches light and frames the face.
Styling tips
- Long and photogenic — ideal for weddings, receptions and engagements where you will be photographed from the side.
- Saree colours: red, maroon, wine, emerald, navy and black silks bring out the ruby and white stones; on cream or gold tissue sarees they add colour without clashing.
- Skip the heavy choker. These fall well below the jawline, so pair them with a long haram or a single slim necklace, or wear them alone with a boat-neck or high-neck blouse.
- With a lehenga or anarkali, these long jhumkas do the work of a full jewellery set.
- Hair up — a sleek bun or a flower-decorated braid — shows the full length.

Please note
This is premium imitation (fashion) jewellery. The white, red and green stones are decorative stones — they are not diamonds, rubies or emeralds, and are not sold as such. The pearls are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls. This is a standard finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece.
Caring for it
- Put jewellery on last — after makeup, perfume and hairspray have fully dried — and take it off before bathing, exercise, swimming or sleeping.
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear, and use a soft dry brush inside the openwork dome.
- Keep away from perfume, deodorant, creams, water, hot water, detergent, household chemicals and prolonged sweat. Do not wash or soak.
- Store flat in an airtight box so the long drops and pearl fringes do not tangle.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a chandbali and a jhumka?
A chandbali is crescent or moon-shaped; a jhumka is bell or dome-shaped. The Double Crescent Ruby Dome Jhumkas combine both — a double crescent top with a dome jhumka below.
Are these long jhumkas suitable for a wedding?
Yes. Their length, white stone sparkle and ruby colour make them a strong choice for weddings, receptions and engagements.
What necklace goes with long jhumkas?
A long haram or a slim necklace works best. Avoid a heavy choker at the jawline, which competes with the length of the earrings.
Which blouse neckline suits long earrings?
Boat-neck, high-neck and collared blouses leave space at the shoulder for long jhumkas to hang freely.
Can I wear these with a lehenga?
Yes. With a lehenga or anarkali, these long jhumkas can be worn without a necklace and still look complete.
Are the stones real diamonds or rubies?
No. They are decorative stones and are not sold as diamonds, rubies or emeralds. This is premium imitation jewellery.
Are the pearls real?
No. They are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls.
Is this jewellery anti-tarnish?
No. This is a standard gold-tone finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece. Wiping it dry after each wear and keeping it away from perfume and sweat helps preserve the finish.
