Green Bead Peacock Chandbalis
These are peacock chandbalis in the green-and-ruby palette that South Indian silk sarees are built around. The flower stud is made of kundan-style white petal stones around a small green centre, with pearl clusters hanging either side of a scrolled link. Below, the crescent curves into two peacock heads with ruby eyes, lined with tiny white stones around a ruby-red centre, set with ruby and green accents and edged in a V of white stones. Deep green oval beads and pearls fall from the base.
What makes this pair special
- Deep green bead fringe. Rich, translucent green ovals give the chandbali a traditional kemp feel and look stunning against red and maroon silks.
- Peacock heads in the crescent. The two curves at the top of the chandbali are shaped as peacocks — a quiet temple-jewellery detail.
- Ruby and green together. The ruby centre and green accents repeat the bead colour, so the whole earring feels coordinated.
- White stone sparkle. Fine white stone lines trace the crescent and the V border, lifting the design for evening events.
Styling tips
- The classic contrast: red, maroon, magenta and mustard Kanjivaram or pattu sarees with green bead chandbalis — a pairing every South Indian wardrobe knows.
- Tone-on-tone: with a bottle green or parrot green saree, the beads blend in and the white stones take the spotlight.
- Coordinate with a green bead necklace or a short kemp choker, kept slim so the wide crescent has space.
- Pooja, festivals and family functions — traditional enough for a temple visit, festive enough for Diwali.
- Half saree (langa voni) looks are a natural fit for green chandbalis.

This is premium imitation (fashion) jewellery. The white, red and green stones are decorative stones — they are not diamonds, rubies or emeralds, and are not sold as such. The pearls are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls, and the green drops are decorative beads. This is a standard finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece.
Caring for it
- Put jewellery on last — after makeup, perfume and hairspray have fully dried — and take it off before bathing, exercise, swimming or sleeping.
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear, and use a soft dry brush along the white stone lining.
- Keep away from perfume, deodorant, creams, water, hot water, detergent, household chemicals and prolonged sweat. Do not wash or soak.
- Store flat in an airtight box so the bead fringe does not tangle.
Frequently asked questions
What earrings go with a red silk saree?
Green bead chandbalis are one of the most classic choices. Green and ruby against red silk is a traditional South Indian contrast, and the Green Bead Peacock Chandbalis carry both colours.
Can I wear green chandbalis with a green saree?
Yes. With bottle green or parrot green silk, the beads blend into the drape and the white stones and ruby centre stand out.
Are these suitable for pooja and temple visits?
Yes. The peacock motif and green-ruby palette are traditional, making them suitable for poojas, temple visits and festivals.
Is this design available in another colour?
Yes — the same chandbali is available with pink bead drops as the Pink Bead Peacock Chandbalis.
What necklace goes with green bead chandbalis?
A slim green bead necklace or a short kemp choker works well. Avoid a heavy necklace at the jawline so the crescent has room.
Are the green beads emeralds?
No. They are decorative beads, and the stones are not sold as diamonds, rubies or emeralds. This is premium imitation jewellery.
Are the pearls real?
No. They are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls.
Is this jewellery anti-tarnish?
No. This is a standard gold-tone finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece. Wiping it dry after each wear and keeping it away from perfume and sweat helps preserve the finish.
