Green and White Stone Double Layer Necklace Set

Two joined rows: a quiet upper line of white-stone clusters, and beneath it a row of oval green stones, each set inside a ring of white so the colour reads clean and bright rather than dark. The matching drop earrings repeat the shape. Green with white stones is the cooler, less-travelled alternative to the ruby-and-gold that dominates Indian occasion jewellery.

What makes this set work

  • Layered, but engineered. The rows are joined at the sides, so they keep their spacing all evening. Two separate necklaces slide and twist; this one holds exactly where it was designed to sit.
  • Halo settings. Each green stone is encircled by small white stones. Green is a deep colour and can go heavy on its own — the ring of white lifts it and keeps the necklace from reading dark against a saree.
  • Colour on the lower row only. The upper line stays in plain white stones, so the eye travels downward rather than meeting the same thing twice.
  • The necklace and earrings actually match. Same haloed teardrop, same gold tone.

What to wear this with

Green does two jobs. Against green, emerald and bottle-green silks it matches directly and the white halos keep it from disappearing into the weave. Against red, maroon, rust and mustard it becomes the traditional South Indian contrast, which is the pairing most people underuse.

It also sits beautifully on cream, ivory, gold-tissue and grey, where the green becomes the single considered note. Wear it to weddings, receptions, festivals, Sankranti and Ugadi, engagements and family functions.

Product details

  • Finish: gold tone

Please note

This is premium imitation (fashion) jewellery. The white and green stones are decorative stones — not diamonds or emeralds — and the gold tone is a finish rather than gold. We say so plainly because we would rather you buy with a clear picture than be disappointed on delivery.

Caring for it

  • Put jewellery on last — after makeup, perfume and hairspray have fully dried — and take it off first, before bathing, exercise, swimming or sleeping.
  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear, and use a soft dry brush around the stone settings where a cloth cannot reach.
  • Keep away from perfume, deodorant, creams, water, hot water, detergent, household chemicals and prolonged sweat. Do not wash or soak it.
  • Store the necklace and earrings separately in an airtight box, laid flat so the two rows do not twist around each other.
  • Finish life varies with wear, climate and storage. We do not promise permanent shine — we give you the steps that genuinely extend it.

Frequently asked questions

Does green jewellery go with a red or maroon saree?
Yes — it is one of the oldest pairings in South Indian dressing and one of the most underused. Green stops a red-and-gold outfit becoming a single block of warm colour, and the white stone halos here keep the contrast bright rather than heavy.

What is a halo setting?
A halo setting is a ring of small stones around a larger central one. It makes the centre look bigger and its colour look brighter. With a deep colour like green it does something else useful too — it stops the stone reading as a dark spot against the saree.

Is a two-layer necklace better than wearing two necklaces?
For most people, yes. Two separate chains slide, twist and rarely hold their spacing. A joined double row keeps the layered look fixed, and you only fasten one clasp.

Does this come with earrings?
Yes. The set includes the necklace and matching drop earrings that repeat the haloed teardrop from the necklace.

Are these real emeralds or diamonds?
No. They are decorative white and green stones — premium imitation (fashion) jewellery, not gemstones.

Should I choose the green or the ruby version?
Choose green if you own green silks, or if you wear a lot of red and maroon and want a contrast rather than a match. Choose ruby-red if you want the more traditional, warmer look that goes tonally with most Indian occasion wardrobes.

Will this suit a plain blouse?
Particularly well. Two rows fill a neckline that a single chain would leave looking sparse.
