Lakshmi Ruby Pista Bead Jhumkas

These are Goddess Lakshmi temple jhumkas with a gentle, fresh finish. The stud is a round medallion with a sculpted seated Lakshmi at its centre, encircled by ruby-red stones and flanked by two curling peacocks, with white and green stones at the crown. Pearl clusters hang either side. The jhumka below is worked in open filigree with green stones near the top and a band of ruby-red stones around the middle, ending in a fringe of pearls and pale pista green oval beads.

What makes this pair special

  • Goddess Lakshmi in a ruby halo. The deity sits inside a ring of ruby stones with peacocks either side — a complete temple scene in a single stud.
  • Filigree dome. Open scrollwork keeps the bell light-looking while the ruby band gives it colour.
  • Pista green beads. Soft, pale green ovals under the pearls are a gentler alternative to deep green — they look lovely in daylight.
  • Pearl clusters at the stud. Small bunches of pearls add movement at the top of the earring.

Styling tips

  • Varalakshmi Vratham, Diwali Lakshmi pooja and griha pravesam — the Lakshmi motif makes this pair especially meaningful.
  • Saree colours: pista, mint, peach, pink, cream and mustard silks match the pale beads; red and maroon silks bring out the ruby band.
  • Pair with a Lakshmi necklace, kasu mala or a green bead haram for a coordinated temple look.
  • Half sarees and pattu pavadai — the soft colours suit younger, festive looks beautifully.
  • Hair: a braid with flowers shows the Lakshmi stud and the fringe together.

Please note

This is premium imitation (fashion) jewellery. The red, green and white stones are decorative stones — they are not rubies, emeralds or diamonds, and are not sold as such. The pearls are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls, and the pista green drops are decorative beads. This is a standard finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece.

Caring for it

  • Put jewellery on last — after makeup, perfume and hairspray have fully dried — and take it off before bathing, exercise, swimming or sleeping.
  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear, and use a soft dry brush on the sculpted Lakshmi and filigree.
  • Keep away from perfume, deodorant, creams, water, hot water, detergent, household chemicals and prolonged sweat. Do not wash or soak.
  • Store flat in an airtight box so the bead fringe does not tangle.

Frequently asked questions

What are Lakshmi jhumkas?
Lakshmi jhumkas are temple-style bell earrings that carry an image of Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity. They are a favourite for weddings, festivals and Lakshmi poojas.

Which earrings should I wear for Varalakshmi Vratham?
Lakshmi motif earrings are the traditional choice. The Lakshmi Ruby Pista Bead Jhumkas pair a Lakshmi stud with a ruby band and soft green beads, ideal for the pooja.

What colour saree goes with pista green beads?
Pista, mint, peach, pink, cream and mustard silks match the pale beads; with red or maroon silk, the ruby band carries the look.

Can I wear these with a Lakshmi necklace?
Yes. A Lakshmi necklace, kasu mala or green bead haram makes a coordinated temple set.

Are these good for a half saree?
Yes. The soft palette and moderate size suit half sarees and pattu pavadai for festivals and functions.

Are the stones and pearls real?
No. The stones are decorative and are not sold as rubies, emeralds or diamonds. The pearls are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls. This is premium imitation jewellery.

Is this jewellery anti-tarnish?
No. This is a standard gold-tone finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece. Wiping it dry after each wear and keeping it away from perfume and sweat helps preserve the finish.
