Peacock Pearl Column Jhumkas

These are graceful antique gold-tone jhumkas where pearls do most of the talking. A small star-flower stud is set with a ruby-red centre, two green stones and two white stones. Beneath it, two sculpted peacocks with fanned tails sit back to back, and from them fall three columns of tiny stacked jhumkas — every tier wrapped in a row of pearl drops, with the centre column hanging longest.

What makes this pair special

  • Columns of pearls. Instead of one bell with a single fringe, each column stacks several small domes, each with its own row of pearls, so the earring looks like falling strands of pearls.
  • Antique gold-tone peacocks. The twin peacocks are sculpted with detailed feathers in a warm antique tone — a classic temple jewellery motif.
  • A small, colourful stud. Ruby, green and white stones in the flower stud add just enough colour without overwhelming the pearl-and-gold look.
  • A longer centre column. The middle strand drops lower than the sides, giving the earring a soft V-shaped outline.

Styling tips

  • Pearls go with almost every saree colour — these are one of the most versatile festive pairs you can own. Red, green, maroon, mustard, pink, cream and pastel silks all work.
  • Coordinate with a pearl necklace or a guttapusalu-style pearl haram for a complete pearl-and-gold temple look.
  • Office ethnic day and festive kurtis: the soft pearl palette is refined enough for daytime and workplace celebrations.
  • Weddings and poojas: with a Kanjivaram or pattu saree and flowers in the hair, they give a timeless traditional finish.
  • Hair: a braid or bun shows all three pearl columns; with half-up hair they still peek through nicely.

Please note

This is premium imitation (fashion) jewellery. The red, green and white stones are decorative stones — they are not rubies, emeralds or diamonds, and are not sold as such. The pearls are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls. This is a standard finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece.

Caring for it

  • Put jewellery on last — after makeup, perfume and hairspray have fully dried — and take it off before bathing, exercise, swimming or sleeping.
  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear; keep perfume and creams away from the pearls in particular.
  • Keep away from perfume, deodorant, creams, water, hot water, detergent, household chemicals and prolonged sweat. Do not wash or soak.
  • Store flat in an airtight box so the three pearl columns do not tangle.

Frequently asked questions

What saree goes with pearl jhumkas?
Pearl jhumkas suit almost every saree colour — red, green, maroon, mustard, pink, cream and pastels. That is why the Peacock Pearl Column Jhumkas are one of the most versatile festive pairs.

Are these pearl jhumkas suitable for office wear?
Yes, for office ethnic days and workplace festivals. The soft pearl-and-gold palette looks elegant in daylight.

What necklace goes with pearl jhumkas?
A pearl necklace or a guttapusalu-style pearl haram matches perfectly. A plain antique gold-tone chain also works.

What does an antique gold tone mean?
Antique gold tone is a warm, slightly muted gold colour that looks like heritage temple jewellery, rather than a bright, mirror-like shine.

Can I wear these for a wedding?
Yes. With a Kanjivaram or pattu saree, the peacock motif and pearl columns give a classic traditional wedding look.

Are the pearls real?
No. They are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls. This is premium imitation jewellery.

Are the coloured stones real gemstones?
No. They are decorative stones and are not sold as rubies, emeralds or diamonds.

Is this jewellery anti-tarnish?
No. This is a standard gold-tone finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece. Wiping it dry after each wear and keeping it away from perfume and sweat helps preserve the finish.
