Ruby Jhumkas with kundan pearl matil
These are long, delicate jhumkas that feel light and graceful despite their length. Four ruby-red pear stones are linked one below the other, each flanked by a pair of pearl beads, forming a slender drop from the lobe. It leads into a small crescent with a flower of kundan-style white stones around a green centre, edged in ruby-red stones and with pearl drops at its sides. A jhumka with a ruby-set top and a band of large white stones hangs at the base, finished with a pearl fringe.
What makes this pair special
- A linked ruby-and-pearl chain. The open chain of pear stones and pearls moves with you and keeps the long drop airy.
- A mini chandbali in the middle. The flower crescent adds a second focal point between the chain and the jhumka.
- White stone dome. Large kundan-style white stones around the jhumka brighten the base under evening light.
- Three earring styles in one. A drop, a chandbali and a jhumka combined in a single, flowing line.
Styling tips
- Receptions, engagements and sangeet — the length and pearls look elegant on stage and in photographs.
- Saree colours: red, wine, pink, cream, pastel, gold tissue and emerald green outfits all suit ruby and pearl.
- Keep the neck clear or wear a long pearl haram; avoid a choker that competes with the drop.
- With a lehenga or anarkali, these long jhumkas are a complete look on their own.
- Hair: a bun, an updo or hair swept to one side lets the full drop show.

Please note
This is premium imitation (fashion) jewellery. The red, white and green stones are decorative stones — they are not rubies, diamonds or emeralds, and are not sold as such. "Kundan-style" describes the look of the setting. The pearls are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls. This is a standard finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece.
Caring for it
- Put jewellery on last — after makeup, perfume and hairspray have fully dried — and take it off before bathing, exercise, swimming or sleeping.
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear, taking care around the linked chain.
- Keep away from perfume, deodorant, creams, water, hot water, detergent, household chemicals and prolonged sweat. Do not wash or soak.
- Store laid flat and straight in an airtight box so the links do not tangle.
Frequently asked questions
What are long drop jhumkas?
Long drop jhumkas have an extended chain or line of stones between the stud and the bell, so the jhumka falls near the jawline or below. The Ruby Pearl Long Drop Jhumkas use a linked chain of ruby pear stones and pearls.
Are these good for a reception?
Yes. Their length, pearls and white stone dome look elegant under evening and stage lighting.
What outfit goes with ruby and pearl earrings?
Red, wine, pink, cream, pastel, gold and emerald outfits all work — ruby and pearl is one of the most versatile combinations.
Can I wear a necklace with long jhumkas?
Keep it minimal or long — a long pearl haram, or no necklace. A choker competes with the length.
Do long jhumkas suit a round face?
Many women with rounder faces prefer long jhumkas because the vertical line creates a balanced, elongated look.
Are the stones and pearls real?
No. The stones are decorative and are not sold as rubies, diamonds or emeralds. The pearls are pearl beads, not cultured or natural pearls. This is premium imitation jewellery.
Is this jewellery anti-tarnish?
No. This is a standard gold-tone finish, not an anti-tarnish or specially coated piece. Wiping it dry after each wear and keeping it away from perfume and sweat helps preserve the finish.
